Who we are
My fascination with photography started young. My first camera was a Mickey-Matic, a birthday gift from parents that could tell I was hooked. I pursued art classes throughout high school and went on to attend Hallmark Institute of Photography to further my studies. Processing black and white shots in the darkroom and seeing them come to life made me realize it was not just a hobby, but a passion I wanted to turn into a career. When people ask what I do for a living, I say it’s the best thing in the world!
My favorite part is seeing people smile, getting them to laugh during a session, celebrating their joy, and giving them mementos to cherish. What draws me to photography specifically is that I’m able to freeze moments in time, capturing a story without words, making art from the lives of clients, both close and stranger to me.
There’s nothing like being trusted to bring a client’s vision to life, engaging them in the creative process, and seeing them satisfied.
Creating and capturing beautiful moments is what it’s all about
I approach every session with an open mind whether it be an engagement, maternity, or boudoir shoot. With every new client, I tell them all the same thing: this is about celebrating your life, not about fitting into specific packages so when a client comes to me, I start the process by learning about their wants. What would they like to capture? Do they have any ideas for posing or themes? I enjoy running through what I can do to suit their specific needs because my goal is always to work with you, the client. Ultimately, this is a collaborative effort that cannot work without your input.
Please feel free to drop me a message so we can have a conversation about your ideas, goals, and concerns. I love answering your questions and will respond in a timely manner. Please take a look around at some of my sample photos and let me know if I can help you create a memory that will last a life time.
